Our New Ride

Here is our newest addition to the family..our new SUV! I'll try to make a long story short. Saturday, Brian and I went out with the goal to hit the farmers market, brunch and then shop for a new SUV (aka the baby mobile). We had done a lot of research online as to what we were looking for. Goal was to keep a low monthly payment, trade in Brian's car, and drive away with something safe, roomy, comfortable and left us wanting no more. I have paid off my car, so the SUV would become the family vehicle and my main vehicle to escort the little one when he/she arrives.

So we show up at the Kia dealership, test drive the mid size SUV and then we see "our' SUV. It's the 2009 Kia Borrego, fully loaded and way more then we were looking for to satisfy our needs. Like my last vehicle, it is pre-owned with a few miles on it. We sat there all day thinking, calling parents to make sure we hadn't lost our minds and finally decided we would make the deal and drive off the lot with our new SUV.

Isn't it pretty!! It has just a few things I'm in love with aside from being spacious, pretty, safe for baby and a Kick A$$ soccer mom vehicle (as those at work like to point out)...it has power everything, built in GPS, satellite radio, blue tooth, duel air controls, seat warmers for your tushy to stay warm, controls on the steering wheel for everything, 3 rows of seats-all which fold down to make room for baby gear, groceries, dog and whatever else we need to load up. It has cruise control (luxury for our trips to Ohio) and it has settings so that when I drive it's set for me, and you a push a button for driver 2 and it's set for Brian!!! Leather seats, sun roof, and airbags that are not only in front but run the full length of the vehicle. It has buttons that you push to turn on lights in your house so you don't have to walk in the dark...no I'm not kidding...(I thought the sales guy was making that one up) but it's really true!

It's everything we wanted and more. Brian is now driving my car since his commute is longer. On his days off I will leave the SUV at home and drivethe car to save on gas/miles etc. I have put more pics up on flickr for you all to see the inside and other views of the vehicle.

Tomorrow is the nest Dr. appointment for the little one so stay tuned for the update.
